Hello, Frosty players.

Flash Frosty will be shutting down on January 17th, 2021, at 3PM EST. (12:00 PM in Penguin Standard Time, aka the time on the Snow Forts clock.)

- There will be a shutdown event, which will be announced in #mascots in our Discord server.
- Shortly after this announcement, we'll release a code for a couple thousand coins in our Discord server.
- The gameservers will be shut down at 2PM EST.
- Shortly afterwards, the website will change to reflect this.
- The desktop client will be disabled.
- The Holiday Party will not happen.
- The Festival of Storms will not happen. It is still Noiki's party and it may happen elsewhere.
- No further updates will happen (stage play, catalog, etc...).
- Frosty will keep existing as a Discord server.
- The database will not be deleted, so that you can still migrate your account when the Unity Remake is done. (You will still be able to contact us at support@frosty.gg to delete your account.)

Frosty will return, as a game, when the Unity Remake is done.
We expect it to be done in 2021, but we can't make any promises as to when in 2021 it will be released.

There are many reasons for this shutdown and we have been discussing this decision for a while.
I'll list some of them here.

- In case it hasn't been obvious already, Flash Frosty has a lot of bugs.
	We are unable to fix these bugs because we don't have an ActionScript programmer and we don't have access to the full source code of the Flash client (for obvious reasons).
	On the contrary, once we finish the Unity Remake, we will be able to fix bugs as we will have full access to the source code.

- We are basically doing this for free. Noiki spends all of his free time working on Frosty, instead of focusing on his real life.
	We don't have a playerbase big enough for him to justify working on Frosty any more, and he has chosen to move on.
	And, yes, we have tried applying for AdSense and other ad companies.

I wish it didn't have to come to this.
I hope that even though the "CPPS" part of Frosty is shutting down, the community can keep existing, and that you will stay for the Unity Remake.
